The City of White Rock and CUPE 402-01 met Thursday.. The City is interested in continuing mediated talks. No further dates have yet been scheduled. In the meantime, the City is reviewing the latest CUPE 402-01 proposal in advance of the next session.Â

CUPE members in White Rock have been taking job action since May 2, 2014. They began a full strike on Monday, May 12th. Please come and show your support for CUPE 402-01 workers.

BC Federation of Labour President Jim Sinclair, will join CUPE BC President Mark Hancock and representatives from CUPE 402 and 402-01 at a solidarity rally marking the first full week of a city-wide strike. Light snacks and refreshments will be available.
For the first time in its history with the City of White Rock, CUPE 402-01 has taken job action. Full strike action at all city facilities began on Monday, May 12, 2014.
Join us to send a message to the White Rock Mayor and Council that it's time they got serious about addressing key issues for the their workers: fair treatment for casual and part-time employees, protection for members who become seriously ill, and the need for clear hours of work for all employees."
