Glen Pearson Jazz and Blues on Thursdays at the Ocean Beach Lounge [OB] Evenings [Clean and Safe]

Great News For Music Fans

The White Rock Blues Society is proud to announce we will sponsoring Glen Pearson and his Thursday Night All Star Jam that he has moved to the Ocean Beach Lounge at 14995 Marine Drive. Tony Veltri is the host and he is
pleased to have Glen “in-the-house” on Thursday nights.

With 10 cent wings and $4.00 pints on top of a renovated lounge offering a
wonderful atmosphere you can’t beat the Ocean Beach Lounge as a great place
to be on a Thursday night.

For many years now Glen has been champion of both Rhythm & Blues and live
music in our community. He has played in numerous venues with hundreds of
musicians. Vancouver and Lower Mainland Musicians all respect Glen for his
talents as guitar player/singer and appreciate his organizational
skills. If the White Rock Blues Society had an award for the person most
responsible for keeping the blues alive it would go to Glen.

I am reminded of Glen every time I’ve seen Bob Margolin (sideman to Muddy
Waters from 1973 to 1980) at the Rum Boogie on Beale Street in Memphis. They
both display the same ease on stage as a player and master of ceremonies.

On behalf of the White Rock Blues Society I wish Glen the very best
in his new digs and hope many of you will head on down to the OB and check
out this new musical scene.
