Directions:
White Rock is the international gate-post and almost a must to visit while driving by on Hwy 99 [I-5] from our Border entry stations coming from South and going North for Vancouver, [45 min. away] and Whistler [150 min. away] from border crossing.

For more specific information you may need as a visitor and tourist, please connect and click on the highlighted hyperlink text here>>>>>>>>>>>>

This is a very much volunteered communication promoting White Rock, BC as \'the Destination'\ the gate-way to stop by; Review the clear signs at each border crossing..176th Street [Truck Crossing ] and the [Douglas Crossing] Hwy 99/I-5 North.

To reach Vancouver calculate with one hour, no more from either border station above. Whistler will take you a good calm drive of two and half hours. A comfortable drive on newly re-engineered highway ['Sea-to-Sky' Hwy] partially new and upgraded road sections.

Before approaching the travel above do take your break in White Rock, [on your west side by the ocean, the Pacific....follow signs from the border . It will take you no more than ten [10 min] minutes from where you are when entering Canada and British Columbia.

"White Rock is right by your feet and you wouldn't want to miss this opportunity of experiencing quaintness, nature, the seaside...and perhaps a good reasonable meal"

You will follow the 8th Avenue going west through a round-about [the types they have in England [U.K.] and in five minutes or shorter you will be driving on the Marine Drive along the coastal beaches, promenades, eatery-road, restaurants and shoppes, museum, the White Rock Pier and the small Marina. BBQ pits for guests and the hillside going from this seaside will take you uptown White Rock 'where everything is inexpensive' in comparison to many 'hot-spot', inflated prices in the centre of the Winter Games; Whistler and Vancouver.

Book your travels in time. White Rock is a short ride away from all the brouhaa and stress and fun, but finishing each of your several days of visit to enjoy the Winter Olympic Games 2010 are well spent when done in a comfortable environment like any of the affordable and modern, comfortable and relaxing full service 30 B&B's you can select from.

You can find most of them in the B&B directory:: WhiteRockBedandbreakfastassociation.com' website.

Enjoy this particular serene, authentic, romantic and nostalgic and natural and mild climate of White Rock on the 'Canadian Riviera' by the Pacific Ocean, anytime of the year.

Welcome and thanks for considering visiting to stay awhile or just to take a break, lunch or shopping before traveling on to the 'games' ahead.

Petition; Reduction of Microwave and Radiation ; PARTICIPATE PLEASE.

MICROWAVE RADIATION - PETITION

Please see attached Petition to government of Canada requesting protection from ever increasing microwave radiation. A press conference is planned for this week.
The organizers of this Petition are requesting all Canadians who support such action to add their signature.

If you wish to be part of this Petition, please email Francois Therrien ftherrien@aei.ca with your name, location, and approval to be added to the petition as soon as possible.

Please, also forward to anyone you think would like to support this motion.

Please
note that the world is changing and bringing in new standards. On December 4,
2009, a court ruled that a cell tower in Santa Cruz had to be removed due to ill
health concerns.

Also note that France is lowering radiation emissions from
antennae in 16 towns in a test project aimed at reducing microwave emissions
throughout France.

238 French towns have currently applied to have the cell
tower emissions reduced to the standards recommended in the BioInitiative
Read Report.
http://www.bioinitiative.org/

Canadians need to speak up for themselves and their children. Please consider adding your name today or tomorrow to this importation Petition.

Thank you.

Participate in 'Skiing White Rock' held at Mt. Baker, Washington WA

A great opportunity for 'ski-lovers'..Cross-country or downhill slalom or any boards. Take a bus from White Rock, BC and venture into our 'designated White Rock Ski-Domain on the mountain.

Safe and sound for any age..almost....make it the day-trip, bring change and exchange....and more...

Friends I wish someone could make this idea a reality. A tour company.....

The other idea I equally see as possible to implement is 'Skate White Rock' on our own rink or South Surrey's.

Maybe active Rita Clarkson , Director Leisure Services in White Rock, can give the idea a shot in the arm.

What's your take on this?

Best regards,

I Read in The White Rock Sun; the Challenges We Encounter When Growing up

The idea I got from a Letter I read in the www.WhiteRockSun.com
the other day

Thanks and kudos to The www.WhiteRockSun.com, White Rock, BC Nov.
2009

Read this and you will get a scoop of both the
bad and the seemingly good.

What is good anyway in these days of upheaval?
Send your answer to the question to Johan@whiterockreporter.com

All is relative. In my case it was good..wow.
I made it to the tooth brush this morning. I gave my mirror the compliments its
face deserves..Hey, you handsome ludicrous disastrous fabulous good looking man
GOOD MORNING!

I should be retired . I am not. Just tired
sometimes. Tired of listening to those much younger bitching about trivial
things. You've heard it before.. Now before continuing on this click and read the
link..below. After that keep reading the rest of the story.

http://whiterocksun.com/index.php?mode=letters <<<<

I could write: 'I lost my former homeland
[Sweden] to the Muslims..to the migrants invading a peaceful and cultural land
[in its very own special uniqueness of Viking heritage] ways. The borders were
overrun by migrants throwing their pass ports into the blue waters of the sea upon landing on the shores of southern Sweden or Denmark.

Welfare Sweden stood with open hands and provided more services, support and social benefits to the immigrants and refugees than my own child at the time received. I am one of the minority in this country of Canada. I am a Canadian by Choice [since April 1988] and I am proud of my choice.

You may not have had a chance of choice; still be proud and content. You are luckily living in one of the most desired countries in the world to live in.

The same thing and phenomenon is hitting home in Canada.

I guess this is in part of growing old and mature...things change and change is good says Obama....his mantra has not changed. US is in essence bankrupt and the dollar formerly being strong and vibrant is today like a jellyfish ..limp, flexible and unstable in all aspects while the hard gold is precious and increasing in cost.

The price of gold is indicating the 'storm is not over yet'. You don't need to be a qualified 'fortune teller or psychic' to read the clouds on our horizons.

Dung will still hit the, fan but not until after the Olympics in Vancouver 2010.

Oh while I am at it.about the torch...

.It wasn't in Greece the invention of the 'Olympic' torch was made.. It wasn't in Athens it was by Hitler Olympics 1936 in Berlin that the symbol of the torch saw its inception and introduction...'correct me if I am wrong'.

Don't believe in a soon and fast recovery of economies in Canada and the USA. That's not going to happened.

Regarding slide risks on Warren Buffett's tracks of railroad [he just purchased BNSF], risks a imminent... we just need to stage a powerful rally and 'make noise' to get the attention of the 'acrobats' guiding our choir, our province today; its a maze..no it's a mess.!
